Another test
It seems my Twitter account neede to re-authenticate with TwitterFeed in order for my blog, Tumblr and delicious entries to show up on my Twitter feed. Let see if this one makes it through.
Hmm, let's see if this work.
You can ignore this; I simply wanted to know if this automatic post to Twitter from my Tumblr’s RSS feed works.

This looks amazing. I can’t wait to try it! I hope it can run on Mac OS X Tiger.

I will definitivly have to try this. Maybe tonight! Anybody know how to break their DRM?
First Library on Mars →
This is the first library on Mars: a CD-ROM containing eBooks of Mars-theme science-fiction. I hope there is no DRM on those eBooks. ;-)

This is so funny! The Windows PC icon in the latest Mac OS X is a old monitor with a blue screen of death.
Elisabeth, The Golden Age
In order to celebrate my digital mastery of planning tools (i.e. we didn’t make it to our Marocan cuisine’s class because I had wrongly entered it in my agenda) we decided to take advantage of my father-in-law’s offer to baby-sit Jeremie and went to the theater. Because Halloween is next week, we picked ‘Elisabeth, The Golden Age.’ What? It’s not an horror...
RSS Readers for Windows Mobile
So I’m looking for a good RSS reader for Windows Mobile. So far I tried pRSSReader and it crashed many times on me so, although the GUI looks good, I won’t select that one. I’m now trying PocketRSS. I don’t like the GUI, but it hasn’t crashed so far. I have another one to try after that: moRSS.
I hate Windows Vista (the long)
Cory Doctorow got it all wrong when he is saying copying data from one computer to another is going to be easier and faster as machines and networks get better. Nathalie copied the pictures from our digital camera to her Windows Vista PC. Now, I want to copy them, through out 100 Mbits network, to my Mac. Windows Vista estimates it will take 3 days to copy a little bit more than 1 Gb of data....
How Manga Conquered the U.S., a Graphic Guide to... →
This is a good historical review of how manga and anime find their way out of Japan, into North America. Nicely done. I have my own take as to why I feel like manga and anime were adopted more early in Québec, but I’ll keep that for a separate post.

X,Y? Ou encore en Rayon/Angle?
It’s in German but you really don’t need to understand German to be amazed by the video.
Mac OS X Leopard →
I would really like to upgrade, but I don’t know how fast the new OS would run on my G4 Mac Mini which is just slightly over the minimum requirements. I might stick with Tiger, until I need to upgrade my computer.
Updates on home improvements
The day started on a bad note when I realized that the molding we added to the kitchen cabinets’ doors was preventing the doors from opening properly. A few trip to Rona & Home Depot later, I came to the conclusion that I would have to undo a good portion of the work we had done the day before. Indeed, we unglued all the moldings, cut them again, and glued them back in a slightly...
Why creating a tumblr/email bridge?
One may ask that question. After all, tumblr already have a feature where you create yourself an email address on their server and can post messages through it. Yes, indeed, but I dont like it.
First, it doesn’t handle French characters correctly (characters with accents like ‘é’ and ‘à’ are replaced with code which make the post unreadable.) First limitation I...
Un test en français cette fois.
Voyons voir si les caractères accentués sortiont correctement. (À partir de mon PDA.)
Testing my tumblr/email bridge
If you read this, it’s working! (This is a message sent from my GMail account.)
Wow, this looks like an amazing game. And the video review from IGN is fantastic. Very well done. I was looking for a great RPG for the PS3 for almost a year now. I think it’s finally there!

I still have to fully read the article, but it looks like a substantial piece on David Allen, the man behind _Getting Things Done_ methodology. His writings have motivated me to become a more organized person.
Optimization is over-rated
When cleaning the house, I find optimization to be over-rated. I look at a room and all the things to be sorted and cleaned and it depresses me. So I just forget about figuring out what is the most important thing I should do. I just pick whatever task and do it, no matter what it is. Eventually, everything will get done. In the meantime, I don’t have to look at the full stack of things to...
Remote Play between the PS3 and the PSP
Wow, this is great. I can fill my PS3’s hard drive with movies and watch them from anywhere in the house, or through the Internet. I know, this isn’t new, but I just didn’t get around to try it until last night. My only complain, it should always be on, not something you have to manually turn on on the PS3 every time you want to use it.
Sharing files between a Sony Clié and a Windows...
Philippe and I were car-pooling yesterday and we wanted to share a music file that was sitting on his Memory Stick. Sadly, even if both devices have WiFi capabilities, we didn’t had the software required to complete the transfer. Those little devices really should bundle a Samba client & server that you can turn on to swap files back and forth through an ad-hoc WiFi network. Bluetooth is...
Charlie Stross's Halting State: Heist novel about... →
This looks like an amazing book. It’s on my wish-list, that’s for sure. If I could only find the time to read the 30+ books on my reading pile.
'Blindsight' and 'Lady Of Mazes'
I’m reading those two books these days and, maybe it’s because I had high expectations for both of them, I’m not all that excited. I can’t really put the finger on what’s wrong, but I don’t get the ‘Oh My God!’ feeling I had when reading ‘Spin’ or ‘Ysabel’. They’re good books and I’ll finish reading both of them,...
Shouldn't FTP download be pretty reliable?
I’m expecting long and highly variable delays when backing-up my web site. One would be hoping that, by now, this technology would be stable and work almost flawlessly.
Sony's PRS-505 eBook reader ships this month -... →
Ok, this is a test for tumblr, but I really think this eBook reader is too big. I mean, I already carry too many devices, every one of them smaller than this. I’ll keep reading eBooks on my tiny PDA screen, thank you.
Wii Remote Jacket Accessory Offer →
Nintendo offers a free WiiMote sleeve that is so ugly I’ll have to order one, just to see how bad it looks when you hold one in your hand. After all, the new iPod nano looked ugly in picture but is an amazing little device when it sits on the palm of your hand.
PVP for June 2007
So I finally read Player vs. Player from last June. Funny! Loved the romance challenge between Brent and Francis.
Played with the new iPod Nano
I got a chance to play with the new iPod Nano at Staples earlier tonight. It’s so thin! Amazing! The menu system is great. But, really, I’m fine with my 30 Gb iPod Photo. I’ll wait for it to die on me before replacing it.
